GAUSS made contract with BH Telecom for making 3D vectorized cities
Gauss d.o.o. Tuzla, one of the leading companies for geoinformatics solutions in the region, is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract for vectorization streets and buildings of interest to the needs of the LBS.
The largest Bosnian - Hercegovinian producer and distributor of data, Gauss, in the framework of this project to update the digital maps of major cities in BiH, ie digitalize streets and buildings of interest to the needs of BH Telecom dd Sarajevo.

The project is conducted for the purpose of the introduction of location based services (LBS), and BH Telecom acquisition of necessary additional data sets that will complement existing digital maps of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Data source will be recently recorded geological maps scale 1:2500 and 1:5000, or updated air orthorectified recordings. Digital cartographic layers which contain data for the cities will be delivered in the form of vector data, shafts streets with title, buildings of importance with the coordinate centroid, the name and address (street and number) for the following cities: Bihac, Banja Luka, Brcko, Mostar, Travnik, Tuzla, Zenica and Gorazde.

As a result, there will be a quality basis for the provision of new services, which among other things, require and quality cartographic display as through web and also via WAP and MMS. Also, the quality of data allows a more precise navigation (routing), geocoding (addressing), and similar building services.


BH Telecom as the leading operator on the BiH market with contracting this work along with the Gauss, confirmed their willingness to end-users, the inhabitants of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to ensure the quality information that will serve as the basis for the provision of top quality and modern communication services.
